Logan turned 19 months old last week. Here are his latest developments and some fun facts too:
-He has expanded his vocabulary to include: hi, bye, hot, car, she-she (for his goldfish crackers), wee-wee (for his swing), down, eye, hello, baby, uh-oh (when he drops something), and no
-Also knows what owls and roosters say
-Enjoys talking on the phone
-Likes to write with a pen
-Loves to dance and have dance parties
-Enjoys looking at books and being read to (he especially loves the lift-the-flap books)
-Recognizes the ABC song and sings along saying "cee, cee, cee..."
-Knows "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes" and points to his stomach for the whole song
-Can throw a ball
-Fell asleep in his highchair for the first time (with a mouth full of food too).jpg)

Eisenhower Park
Last week Brian took Logan to Eisenhower Park. Logan ran all over the grass, posed ever so briefly for some pictures, and tried to make friends with the ducks. What a fun day!
Teeny Tumblers

Logan restarted his Teeny Tumblers class a couple of weeks ago and he loved it! He got to play with all of the familiar toys, interact with other kiddos, and even learned how to shoot a basket. He did have to miss last week due to being sick with a cold and a fever of nearly 103, but I am sure that he is looking forward to going back this week.

And They're Off!
On Friday evening, Brian and I went to the annual horse race event hosted by his work. We had a lot of fun spending time with his coworkers and deciding which horses to place our bets on. We made a whopping one dollar betting on such crazy-named horses as Mom's Intuition, SR Flash Gordon, Eyesa Mongoose, Pappys Barchita, and Ranch Hand (some of our favorites).
What Logan's Been Up To This Past Week...
Logan first learned about Elmo in his Teeny Tumblers class. At the end of every class he would get an Elmo stamp on his hand. Though the ink has long been washed away, whenever we ask him "Where's Elmo?" he points to his hand. He loves to cuddle with his newly acquired stuffed Elmo and enjoys watching Elmo on Sesame Street. This past week, while holding Elmo, Logan said "Mo-Mo." A few days later, he said "car."*****
Speaking of cars, along with Daddy's help, Logan transformed a cardboard box into a mode of transportation. Such a fun way to travel down our stairs!
Logan has been increasingly interested in the vacuum. He especially likes this attachment because he has to press a button to make it work.*****
Exploring His Creative Side
Logan has become extremely creative and figured out that his treasured school bus can not only be used as a fun toy, but as a step stool as well. Although we are proud of his ingenuity, for the sake of protecting his cute noggin, his school bus has now been relegated to an outside-only toy to be used for riding purposes only.
